The 2019 Kia Sportage has two efficient engine options, with the 2.4-liter I4 engine standard on the LX and EX trim levels while the 2.0-liter I4 turbocharged engine is standard on the SX Turbo trim. Both engines are then paired with electronically controlled 6-speed automatic transmission and come standard with Front-Wheel Drive. However, each Sportage model is able to be equipped with the available Dynamax™ All-Wheel Drive System and a locking center differential. The AWD system provides better traction and control on more challenging and changing road and weather conditions, such as snow, mud or rain.
Then, when everything is properly equipped, the 2019 Sportage is able to tow up to 2,000-pounds, and it even comes with trailer brakes! Plus, the SUV has been meticulously designed with a high-strength steel Iso-Structure™ body frame for better rigidity and durability.
