The Kia Telluride has made a huge impact in the 3 row family SUV automotive segment. Kia itself has been recently making very quality cars and taking risks by jumping into new markets. Telluride sales have escalated dramatically and for good reason. It is about as big as a Ford Explorer and it has a V6 which produces around 290 horsepower that comes standard in all trim levels. The Telluride also starts out with front wheel drive but every trim has the optional upgrade to all wheel drive. Many other great features such as driver talk, quiet mode, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto are available on all trims. Quiet mode and driver talk are brand new features that Kia has created. Driver talk is great for when a driver is hauling many passengers because it allows the driver’s voice to be projected through every speaker, allowing the passengers in the third row to easily hear the driver. Quiet mode is used to redirect all radio volume to the front speakers and the maximum volume level is set at a lower number. This is great for if a family is taking a road trip and the kids have fallen asleep. It allows the driver to continue to listen to music and not disturb the rear passengers. The Telluride is a very family friendly SUV.

Kia Telluride LX

The “base” model Kia Telluride comes with all of the great features that were previously stated and more. Synthetic leather seats, 5 USB ports, remote start and an 8 inch touchscreen are just some of the great features you can get.Kia’s new infotainment system has also evolved into one of the best for this automotive segment. It comes standard with 18 inch wheels and adjustable tailgate height too. Many safety features come standard on the LX as well, such as automatic braking, pedestrian monitoring, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist and a rear view camera. Kia was able to fit in a lot of good features for a car at this price range while still being able to fit 8 people in the Telluride.

Kia Telluride S

The S trim level is quite similar to the LX. However, some upgrades that can be found in the S are heated front seats, second row captains chairs, a sun roof, 20 inch wheels and a power adjustable driver seat.

Kia Telluride EX

This next trim marks the start of some very nice features. The touchscreen is upgraded to 10.2 inches along with many other improvements including a power front passenger seat, ventilated front seats, rear sunshades, wireless device charging with an extra USB port, dual zone climate control and navigation. The interior of the Telluride becomes a very nice place to be with the addition of wood grain paneling and genuine leather seats. The second row is converted back into a bench seat allowing more passengers to fit, however the access to the third row is less. The captain’s chairs can be added back with the Premium package along with 20 inch wheels. There is also the Towing package which includes a self leveling rear suspension and a Nightfall package that adds a black grill, black trim and black wheels. 

Kia Telluride SX

The SX trim is the top of the line with a panoramic sunroof, ten speaker sound system, front parking sensors and a surround view parking camera system. The Premium, Towing, and Nightfall packages are all offered on the SX along with the additional Prestige package. This package includes heated and ventilated rear seats, heated steering wheel, heads up display and rain sensing windshield wipers.
