The 2023 Kia K5 comes in two available engine options: a 1.6L Turbo and a 2.5L Turbo. 

Turbocharged 1.6L 4-Cylinder Engine

First up is the 1.6L Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. This engine gets up to 180 max horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with an 8 speed automatic transmission and comes with Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) or All-Wheel Drive (AWD). The 1.6L Turbo offers excellent fuel economy as it gets up to an EPA-estimated 37 highway MPG.

Turbocharged 2.5L 4-Cylinder Engine

The other engine available on the 2023 K5 is a 2.5L Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. This engine offers a more powerful 290 max horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. The 2.5L engine is only available on the GT trim level. This engine is paired with an 8-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. Fuel economy decreases with the more powerful engine but still gets an estimated 32 highway MPG.
