Kia Wins Highest-Ranked Mass Market Brand by J.D. PowerÂ
Kia is often thought of as a brand that knows how to improve its vehicles for better performances, designs and capabilities. So, it makes sense that Kia wins highest-ranked Mass Market Brand by J.D. Power for the fourth consecutive year.Â

This is the fourth year in a row that Kia Motors has been ranked as the top Mass Market Brand by J.D. Power in the Initial Quality Study. The study analyzes responses from consumers who have just leased or bought a new model-year vehicle during the first 90 days of ownership to evaluate a brand’s and model’s initial quality. The responses range from the driving experience to engine and transmission performance to quality issues.Â
Along with Kia Motors, the 2018 Kia Sorento and 2018 Kia Rio also won the highest initial quality ranking in its respective segment. And the Optima, Sportage and Sedona placed second in its segment, while the Forte placed third in its segment.Â

The Kia Sorento won the Midsize SUV Initial Quality Study Award in the 2018 report. Some of its stand out areas include its powertrain performance, the design of its accessories and features and overall design quality.Â

The Kia Rio won the Small Car Initial Quality Study Award in the 2018 report. Some of its stand out areas include its design of its features and accessories, body and interior design and mechanical qualities and its overall design quality.Â
