An oil change is likely the most commonly performed service you will have done to your Kia. Whether you do it yourself or usually let a professional change your oil, you need to have it done at regular intervals. If you go long enough without getting your oil changed, your engine will essentially die. Keep reading to learn more about the importance of an oil change service.

How often should your Kia have its oil changed?
The answer to that question depends on a couple of things. Most vehicles require an oil change once every 3,000 miles or three months or so. If you have more than 100,000 miles on your car and use synthetic, high mileage oil, you likely only have to get an oil change once every 5,000 miles. You should check your owner’s manual for specifics or ask one of our technicians if you’re unsure of when your next oil change should be performed. You can also manually check your oil level by removing your dipstick. Check where the oil goes up to on the stick and if it doesn’t go high enough, you probably need an oil change.
This kind of service is rudimentary and is done routinely at our service center. Schedule your next oil change with Family Kia and you will leave satisfied!
